Airy Sophistication

Our homeowners disliked their dark and outdated existing kitchen.  In consideration of this and several design concerns of the existing layout, we removed a wall between the family room and kitchen to give it a more open floor plan.  Also, we moved the location of the existing peninsula for more space in the kitchen work-area while still allowing generous space in the dinette.  The soffits were removed to install taller cabinets.

The end result is a very happy couple with a lovely new kitchen with cream colored cabinets, striking Warm Springs granite, a decorative tile backsplash, a complete lighting package and new wood floors.  The combination of the light colored cabinets and dusty blue walls give the new space a bright, cheerful yet calming appeal.  Custom details such as stacked crown molding give the design personality and charm.
