Kresge Named 2011 Regional Contractor of the Year!

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has recognized Kresge Contracting, Inc., and Mark Kresge, CKD, CR, with the 2011 Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) award in the category of Residential Kitchen $40,000 - $80,000.

Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY Awards on an annual basis.  As a regional winner, Kresge Contracting will now be eligible for the National CotY Award to be presented at NARI’s Evening of Excellence on April 2 at the Westin Jersey City Newport in Jersey City, New Jersey.

The full-service remodeling team at Kresge Contracting earned its award for a complete kitchen remodel in Worthington, Ohio.  The new kitchen design centers on ease of entertaining, urban chic design and efficient use of space.  Urban Chic design elements include clean lines, geometric shapes, glass elements, stainless steel, and elegant sparkle in shiny surfaces and color choices.  The kitchen features frameless cherry cabinets, stainless appliances and many custom elements, including a completely custom backsplash and modified island.  Before and after photos of the project can be seen here.

An impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on each entrant’s “before and after” photography and project descriptions.  Judging was based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
