Residential Product - DuraCeramic
In early May 2005 , we introduced DuraCeramic ™ from Congoleum - and it has immediately become a big-seller. It is a perfect product for people who love the look of tile, but don't like the coldness, hardness, or the effect it has on the acoustically on the area.
DuraCeramic ™ is a limestone composite tile with a vinyl layer, and then a thick wear-layer. The edges are beveled and can be replaced tile by tile. It is significantly warmer to the touch then ceramic tile and absorbs more sound.
If the thought of cleaning grout lines send shutters down your spine, then you could consider using the un-grouted option. The tiles are butted directly next to its neighboring tiles and a clear gel is applied in-between the tiles to seal; so there isn't a need to worry that dirt could weasel its way between them.
The size of the tiles is 15 5/8" x 15 5/8" which works really well in large spaces or to make a design statement.
DuraCeramic ™ also comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
For more information, check out Congoleum's website at http://www.congoleum.com/res-duraceramic-home.php. We also have a large display of all of the DuraCeramic ™ tiles, and, as always, you are more than welcome to stop in and check them out.
new product : Kabinart ™
Recently, Kresge Contracting, Inc. became a distributor of Kabinart ™ cabinetry. Becoming a dealer of their cabinetry allows us to offer a cabinet at a price point that is similar to Medallion Silverline series, but with more options in terms of wood species, stains, and doorstyles.
One nice feature with their cabinets is they offer an all-wood cabinet, which is certainly rare with a cabinet at this price point. Kabinart comes in three different cabinet lines: Signature, Classic, and White.
One of my favorite features about the cabinet is the option to glaze the cabinets. It allows you to get a very expensive-looking cabinet without the expensive price tag!
We are really excited to be carrying their line. We plan on putting up a Kabinart display in the next couple of weeks in our showroom. Their website features pictures of all of their doors and also some information about their cabinets and their company so make sure to check them out.
new partner : Custom Glass Designs
If you visited us this year at the Home and Gardens Show, then you have already met Custom Glass Designs. We shared a booth with them, which was a great pleasure. They are really great guys to work with.
Custom Glass Designs are a local fabricator of frameless, semi-frameless shower enclosures. They have been described as producing "design-oriented" shower enclosures. Their enclosures are truly a high-quality product and are a great addition to any home.
Because they are custom made in their showroom, it allows them to control the conditions in which their enclosures are made in. They also can cut what are normal industry lead times. You can customize them to a variety of finishes, handles, towel bars, etc.
We have two examples of their doors in our showroom, but that doesn't shake a fist to their expansive showroom of over 25 showers that are on display. They are centrally located off of Polaris Parkway. For directions to their showroom and tons of information on shower doors, visit their website at www.CGDesigns.biz.
new product : Bisazza ™
If you have been keeping up to date on the latest kitchen trends, whether it's the copious amounts of home-improvement shows, or the stacks of home-focused magazines, you were sure to come across Bisazza tiles or something fairly similar.
Bisazza tiles are small, glass mosaic tiles. They company was formed in 1956 and strives to combine "traditional Venetian mosaic techniques paired with modern technology". The tiles come in over 350 colors, some with chrome or gold streaks in them. Even the most discriminating customer can find something that they like in their collection. They suggest numerous blends of their tiles, but if you don't find something you like, never fear- Bisazza will actually let you come up with your own blend of tile ! You have to specify what colors you would like in your blend, as well as what percentages you would like them in. They will then make us a sample board with your colors placed randomly in a custom blend on it and send it to you to make sure you like what you picked.
If murals are your thing, then you may want to look into Bisazza. They will allow you to send your own hand or computer-drawn images to them and create your design in pretty much any scale. They either use whole tiles, or they can use what they consider to be "mixed-technology" and use hand-cut mosaics. They are true artisans and have produced some really unique stuff.
Bisazza tiles are so beautiful that they actually offer a line of jewelry that incorporates its tile into the jewelry!
We recently put Bisazza in our showroom, and it looks amazing. Check out their website at www.bisazza.com or visit our showroom to see it in person.
product line expansion : Medallion ™
Our main cabinet line , Medallion had a huge reveal at the KBIS 2005 show this past May. They have added some neat new door styles, colors, trims, etc. One thing that I really like about the new colors is that in the past they have been almost been lacking on a medium-toned maple stain color, but not for long. I haven't seen the colors in person yet (only in a catalog, but I have ordered samples that we should receive in a couple of weeks) but there is only color that I am interested in particularly called Harvest Bronze. It looks like it is going to be a really beautiful option.
We also are updating our door samples and stain collection so that we can show you the complete line of Medallion. Picking a cabinet style can be an arduous project, and we want you to feel like you have all of the tools to make an educated decision.
Another great new development- Medallion is going to offer inset cabinetry. This is such a popular look in high-end design right now, and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to our customers. It comes at a price, but has a very unique and custom-feel about it.
The additions to the Silverline (Medallion's economy line) were scarce- but rumors have it that they will be completely revamping the line by the end of this year. We are really excited about it because Silverline allows us to offer a high-quality cabinet to our customers at a great price-point.
product line expansion : Daltile ™
Although we have been a distributor of Daltile for a while now , we are working on developing a "tile design center" with an extensive collection of their tiles, deco tiles, listellos, etc. This will allow our showroom to better serve the clients in the material selections and avoid having to go to various showrooms around the city for specialized products.
Daltile now offers a Natural Stone Collection which has a really nice variety of limestone, slate and marble. We plan on putting this in our new display in our showroom, but since this is our busy season its been hard for our project managers to find the time. Keep checking back to our "What's New" section and I'll let you know when you can find it in our showroom.
