Our process steps through a series of stages that build upon one another. The choices made at each stage help define your end result and keep your project on schedule and within budget.
Stage 1: Planning and Information Gathering
This stage begins with your initial contact via telephone, project inquiry, or through one of the events we participate in throughout the year (such as the NARI Home Improvement Showcase or the Home & Garden Show). We begin with a short discussion over the phone to review your project's scope, type of home, location and approximate budget. This first conversation concludes with establishing a complimentary 1-hour consultation at your home (or project site). This allows us to meet in person and see the space.
During your complimentary consultation, we will further discuss your project, take any necessary measurements to help us provide you an accurate quote, discuss whether a design is necessary, and answer any further questions you may have. From this meeting, we will proceed with either a design agreement or follow up meeting to go over your custom quote and the various options available for your project.
Stage 2: The Design
A good design is a key ingredient to a successful remodel. This is especially true when walls are being moved, mechanicals (such as electrical work) are being added or moved, and/or when significant physical changes are being made to your space. The purpose of the design is to plan out the look and feel of your new space before a change is made. The design also allows you to determine what impact your selections have on the final project cost - an important element to cost containment for every homeowner.
Designs are created in a computer program that allows us to show you your remodeled space in 3D. This is an excellent tool allowing you to visualize your space with specific selections in place. This allows you a “virtual” model of how selected items such as cabinet styles, countertop colors, tile backsplashes and flooring choices affect the overall look of your space. This approach builds confidence in achieving the desired final result. To read more about the Design Process, click here.
Stage 3: Construction
For construction, you will have a Project Manager in charge of your project who will walk you through the stage from start to finish. Construction actually consists of several sub-stages. It begins with the pre-construction meeting, proceeds to demolition then construction, and lastly clean up. Your Project Manager is responsible for all on-site work. He will oversee any carpenters or other workers on site, make sure the site is cleaned up every day and communicate with you regularly regarding your project. Stage 4: Follow up and Warranty
Your satisfaction is very important to us. Once your project is completed, you will receive a follow up letter with a "Client Satisfaction Questionnaire" asking you to rate our service, products used, subcontractors used (if any), and staff, and provide any comments about your experience with us. Your feedback helps us address any concerns you may not have discussed with us previously and helps us continuously improve our level of service.
While you enjoy your newly remodeled space, warranty items may arise. Our warranty includes a 1-year comprehensive workmanship warranty, a 5-year systems workmanship warranty, and a 10-year structural workmanship warranty. You may also have warranties covering specific products used in your project, which would fall under the manufacturer's warranty. Should a warranty item arise, notify us immediately. Your satisfaction is our goal!
